Ward Disinfection

Ward disinfection needs

1. Disinfection standard requirements

The ward belongs to the III category of hospital environment requirements, the air colony number is ≤500cfu/m3, and the surface colony number ≤10cfu/cm².

2. Difficulties encountered

  • Manual wiping is easy to neglect some positions and dead ends, and some new ways are needed to complement each other.
  • There are some resistant bacteria that cannot be killed by chemical disinfectant disinfection, and new ways are needed to complement each other.

Quick and efficient disinfection solution for wards

1. Self-protection and preparation of cleaners:

Before entering the room, wear masks, gloves, protective clothing and other protective equipment, and place warning signs at the door of the room.

2. Daily disinfection of the ward

Toilet disinfection.

  • Clean the toilet (wash basins and toilet bowls with disinfectant.)
  • Push the equipment to the No. 1 position (as shown in the picture) and sterilize each time for 5 minutes.

Recommendation: Disinfect the bathroom twice a day.

 Clean the room

  • Wipe and test door handles, chair cabinets, frequently contacted parts of hospital beds, chairs, and medical equipment.
  • Sweep the ground and mop.
  • Clean the trash can.

Recommendation: once a day (special infectious ward, burn ward, can be increased).

Note: During the epidemic, due to manpower problems and urgent time, those who cannot be manually wiped and cleaned can be initially disinfected by spraying an odorless and harmless disinfectant.

 Room disinfection

  • Open cabinet doors, drawers, etc., as far as possible to expose the surfaces of objects that need to be disinfected.
  • Let the patient rest outside the room (special patients can use a wheelchair or directly push the bed outside the ward).
  • Push the equipment to No. 2 and No. 3 positions (as shown in the figure, the two measuring positions of the bed) for disinfection. (If there are 2 beds in the ward, you can add another disinfection position on the other side of the bed.)

Recommendation: once a day (special infectious ward, burn ward, can be increased).

3. Terminal disinfection
